Langford Chapel
Langford Chapel was opened in 1846.
We are an independent evangelical church with a Bible-believing ethos. Members and friends of the Church are from a variety of backgrounds but we share a love for Jesus Christ and a longing to spread the good news of His love in The Way. George Beacham was our beloved minister from 2009 until August 2022 when he went to be with the Lord.
The church continues to Worship as a fellowship with visiting preachers from all over the country, as well as members, who lead the services each week.
We remain true to the historic Christian faith.
We believe the Bible to be fully reliable and that the Church's mission is to share the teachings of Jesus as declared in Matthew 28 verses 19-20.
Holding forth the word of life (Philippians 2:16).
As well as our regular services we go out into the local community to visit and encourage our neighbours with the support of Chris Gadd of Somerset Gospel Outreach.
We host a social coffee morning, "Aroma", on the fourth Saturday of each month which is open to all people, whether or not they attend church and whatever their beliefs.
We maintain friendly links with a network of other evangelical churches and Christian organisations, both locally and further afield.
We are a registered charity, No.1172622. Secretary is Mr. Rob Derry and Treasurer is Mr. Philip Wright, who are both Deacons. Glenys A'Court is also a Deacon and all Deacons are also Church members.
Our weekly service takes place at the Chapel on Blackmoor, Lower Langford at 11am and in the evening at 1830 we hold a fellowship meeting where all are welcome to join for lively discussion and prayer over a cup of tea or coffee.
Details of upcoming services and preachers can be seen in the events section below.

We are a friendly and welcoming group who live in and around Langford as well as further afield. We meet simply to have fellowship and to worship The Lord. No one is under any pressure to contribute or to make any commitments other than what is on their heart and what they are led by the Spirit to do.
